South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe’s mining company, African Rainbow Minerals (ARM), has reported a major profit surge, recording R5.165 billion for the financial year ended June 2026.
Headline earnings rose 19% to R3.201 billion, driven largely by stronger platinum group metal prices.
ARM Platinum was a standout performer, with headline earnings rising by more than 200% to R1.345 billion.
The company’s net cash also increased to R10.171 billion, while shareholders will receive a total dividend of R12 per share.
ARM recorded zero fatalities during the financial year and is preparing for future growth, including the planned restart of nickel production at Nkomati Mine.
