IA new grocery and household detergent refill store called Skaaftin has opened at 77 Gemsbok Street, Corner Grand Place in Lenasia.
The store allows customers to buy products such as rice, maize meal, sugar, flour, beans, washing powder, dishwashing liquid and bleach in quantities according to their needs and budget.
Skaaftin also encourages customers to reuse their own containers as part of an effort to reduce packaging waste.
The store says its refill concept focuses on affordability, convenience and sustainability, giving customers the option to purchase everyday essentials in quantities that suit their households.
