A JMPD officer was disarmed of their service firearm by multiple male suspects while performing official duties in Lenasia on Thursday.
The suspects fled the scene in a getaway vehicle towards Golden Highway.
No serious injuries to the officer have been reported.
JMPD has launched a manhunt and is working with other law-enforcement agencies to recover the firearm and arrest those responsible.
