A suspect has been arrested in Block 1, Thulani, Snake Park, during a crime-prevention operation by JMPD TRU officers following information linked to a stolen vehicle investigation.
According to JMPD, officers received information alleging that the suspect was involved in the theft of high-value motor vehicles in the area.
Officers proceeded to a property where they allegedly recovered two suspected vehicle-jamming devices and three two-way radios.
The suspect was reportedly unable to provide an account for the items.
The suspect was arrested and detained at Doornkop Police Station.
The investigation remains ongoing.
